Growing!

Our baby boy is growing so fast already! He had his 2 week check up with the pediatrician today and he is already up to 9 pounds 15 ounces, and is 22 1/2 inches long! We just love our pediatrician, she is very sweet and has clearly been around a lot of first time Mom's cause she doesn't laugh at me when I ask silly questions!

I knew I loved you, before I met you...

Ona came by today and took these beautiful pictures of Diego, I had to share....

Do you see how proud my husband is with our new son? I never thought I would feel such love, not only for our son, but for my husband. I love him more each day. He is taking such good care of Diego and I, and without ANY complaints. When other parents told us about the love you feel for your child, we knew it would be special, but until you actually hold your baby in your arms and see them, you don't truly know what it means!

We had our first family outing yesterday! (Besides visits to the pediatrician and the lactation specialist) We went to Target, yahoo! I forgot my camera (BAD MOMMA!) or there would be pics of little Diego in his car seat mounted on a shopping cart for the first time! The trip was good and he slept the whole time. He is definitely a baby who loves to be moving, so the car and riding on the cart put him right to sleep! He was weighed today at the lacatation specialist and is already up to 9 lbs 5.5 ounces!!

41 WEEKS....and IMPATIENT!

I am 41 weeks today...and I am finally to that impatient, get this baby out point! I really wanted to avoid this feeling. So far, I had just been enjoying pregnancy and over the last few weeks, enjoying being at home since I am done working...but today, I'm done! I want a baby, not a pregnant belly!!

We had our Dr appointment this morning and I am 60% effaced and 1 cm dilated, so things are moving, slowly. I am scheduled to be induced on Tuesday morning at 7 am, but I am REALLY hoping to go into labor naturally before then. My doctor explained that labor would be a much more pleasant experience for baby and me if I could go into labor naturally...so here's hoping for that! But, if I don't, I'm ready for tuesday and so is Eddie!!

CRAVINGS

I have had some cravings over the last week, and I felt the need to document them because they are so out of the ordinary for me...

#1: MILK...I am NOT a milk drinker, but the last week that's all I want to drink! I love milk with pop tarts and Chocolate Milk. Today, I tried Strawberry milk. Note: Strawberry milk is delicious! I had never tried it before. I went grocery shopping and grabbed a bottle of Strawberry milk and some Hostess Chocolate Donettes and opened both of them in the car on the way home. A pre-pregnancy Meghan would be saying GROSS! But today, YUM!

#2: Oriental Chicken Salads: Now, this isn't totally out of the ordinary for me, but every day its what I have to have for lunch. Thanks to ONA! She had one at Applebees on Tuesday when we went to lunch and let me have a bite...since then I've been hooked! I have to say, the most delicious Oriental Chicken Salad I have ever had is at the Cheesecake Factory. Of course they make it very fancy with shiny crispy rice noodles on top and everything! YUM!

#3: Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake: Only the Best, Cheesecake Factory. I've only had this once, on Saturday when Rachel and I shopped for 7 hours! This has always been my favorite cheesecake, and now I think its Rachel's too!! I only wish now I would have bought a WHOLE one and brought it home with me!!

#4: Dairy Queen Chocolate Covered Strawberry Waffle Bowl Sundae: Wow, it's everything the name says and MORE! I took a chance and tried this a few nights ago and have had 3! SO GOOD!

4 Pregnant Ladies

Just a quick post of a picture of the 4 pregnant women at work! Laura had this great idea to take some pictures of the 4 of us, I mean how often are there going to be 4 pregnant women roaming the office?

From left to right: Crystal, Debbie, Laura and Me (at 35 weeks and counting!)
