I married the love of my life! November 5, 2005 Eddie and I were married in Las Vegas. We had a really fun wedding. We decided to get married in Vegas for fun, and planned everything over the phone and internet. Neither of us had ever been to Vegas before. It was actually really nice to have a destination wedding. We arrived 2 days before the wedding and got to play before the day of the wedding. The day of the wedding was not stressful for either of us. Everything went very smoothly, besides the fact that Chapel by the Bay at Mandalay Bay starts their weddings ON TIME and NO exceptions...so my Aunt, Uncle and Cousin who came from Wisconsin missed the ceremony. :( We met them in the foyer as we walked out, but they made it to our little reception! We had 50 guests travel with us to Vegas, friends and family. We were so blessed to have so many people willing travel to be with us for our special day! Our wedding was everything I ever dreamed a wedding could be, and more. We headed home the next day and then we were off to our Honeymoon in Jamaica, which was also a wonderful time!

This is my all time Favorite picture of Eddie!

This is the view from our room in Jamaica!

I think cotton is the traditional gift for your 2nd anniversary. I'll put cotton balls on the grocery list and Matt will deliver it later this week.

Happy anniversary. Your wedding sounds like it was amazing. I wanted to just go away and elope, but Jason wanted the traditional wedding, so it was a no go!

You'll enjoy every year more and more.

Your honeymoon photo looks like it belongs on a post card! Looking back out what turned out to be a costly wedding, Mike and I have often said we wish we had planned a very small wedding at some tropic destination and then spent the rest of the money on an over the top place for our honeymoon. Then we would have come back to host a very informal, laid back and not too expensive reception that people could come to. Too often weddings end up being not for the bride and groom but for parents, grandparents, etc. to meet their expectations (which I think is what happened to ours). Oh well. We got married and I guess that is what counts!

Happy Anniversary! Two years...congrats! I loved the fact your wedding was stress free and truly enjoyable for you and Eddie...that is the way it should be! The best part is, you have a very happy memory to carry with you forever!
Have a great 3rd year! What an eventful one!

Now that I'm not trying to leave for a last minute road trip, I'd like to actually comment on this blog.
Your wedding was amazing. You were a beautiful and more importantly happy bride.
I will always remember thinking Eddie was so nervous he was turning green, at lunch right before the wedding, and after much questioning and denying realizing he was standing under a green light!
I remember hanging out with the two of you in your beautiful suite and just basking in the glow that radiated off of both of you.
You two are such a great couple.
Here's to celebrating your 30th Anniversary in Vegas...
