CRAVINGS

I have had some cravings over the last week, and I felt the need to document them because they are so out of the ordinary for me...

#1: MILK...I am NOT a milk drinker, but the last week that's all I want to drink! I love milk with pop tarts and Chocolate Milk. Today, I tried Strawberry milk. Note: Strawberry milk is delicious! I had never tried it before. I went grocery shopping and grabbed a bottle of Strawberry milk and some Hostess Chocolate Donettes and opened both of them in the car on the way home. A pre-pregnancy Meghan would be saying GROSS! But today, YUM!

#2: Oriental Chicken Salads: Now, this isn't totally out of the ordinary for me, but every day its what I have to have for lunch. Thanks to ONA! She had one at Applebees on Tuesday when we went to lunch and let me have a bite...since then I've been hooked! I have to say, the most delicious Oriental Chicken Salad I have ever had is at the Cheesecake Factory. Of course they make it very fancy with shiny crispy rice noodles on top and everything! YUM!

#3: Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake: Only the Best, Cheesecake Factory. I've only had this once, on Saturday when Rachel and I shopped for 7 hours! This has always been my favorite cheesecake, and now I think its Rachel's too!! I only wish now I would have bought a WHOLE one and brought it home with me!!

#4: Dairy Queen Chocolate Covered Strawberry Waffle Bowl Sundae: Wow, it's everything the name says and MORE! I took a chance and tried this a few nights ago and have had 3! SO GOOD!

Indulge those cravings now for this is the time that you can use pregnancy as the most acceptable excuse for them ever! That was one of the BEST things about being pregnant - I ate what I wanted with no guilt attached! I mean hey, if you are craving it that must mean the baby needs some part of it and how can you deny that little unborn ball of sweetness anything?!

Oh man, I have had that chocolate mousse cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory...It is incredible!!!

Enjoy your cravings. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. Enjoy it all!!!

Maybe, after your baby is here, Jon and I can bring you and Eddie dinner. And I might just have to make a trip up to Washington Square for the dessert!

You know what they say about cravings? It is your body’s way of telling you that you need whatever is in those certain foods. Okay, not sure if that is true but heck if it means you can eat a full carton of ice cream and not feel guilty I say "I BELIEVE, I BELIEVE."

Mmmmmm! I crave all those things, too (except the milk)! Maybe I'm pregnant! Darn....I can't use that excuse for the cheescake and Dairy Queen!

The only thing I had a craving for when I was pregnant was Deviled Eggs. Your pregnancy sounds more fun!

I majorly craved apple juice, bad idea, the doctor had to cut me off since I gained like 5 pounds in 2 weeks from it. Heck I was drinking like a gallon of it a day. I also craved fresh fruit. I am normally allergic to most fresh fruit, but my allergy went away while I was pregnant which was awesome. Sugar sweets didn't sit right in my pregnant tummy.

Meghan -

I did the whole milk thing too - just plain ole milk tho. Hang in there. I am so excited for you - you are going to love being a mom. Promise me you will sleep when the baby sleeps and just hold the baby all the time.

That is the best list ever! Good for you for indulging. I, like Misty, couldn't really eat any sweets and totally craved fresh fruit and salads all the time.

After reading this, I am thinking of heading down to DQ to test out that Waffle Bowl!
